1. Prepare the Dough
- Mix the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let stand for 5 minutes.
- Add the egg and oil.
- Gradually add the flour and salt.
- Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
2. Make the Filling
- Crumble the cheese into a bowl.
- Stir in the parsley, green onions, and black pepper.
- Mix well.
3. Shape the Pastries
- Divide the dough into 10–12 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into an oval.
- Place a spoonful of filling in the center.
- Fold and seal the edges, creating either rings or stuffed rolls like those shown in the picture.
4. Bake
- Place on a parchment-lined baking tray.
- Brush with the egg yolk and milk mixture.
- Let rest for 15 minutes.
- Bake at 190°C (375°F) for 20–25 minutes, until beautifully golden brown.
