Low-Calorie Strawberry Yogurt Dessert

  • by

Step 1: Prepare the Strawberries

  • Wash and hull the strawberries.
  • If using frozen strawberries, let them thaw slightly for easier blending.

Step 2: Blend

  • Add the strawberries, Greek yogurt, and unsweetened applesauce to a blender or food processor.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Taste and Adjust

  • Taste the mixture.
  • If you’d like it sweeter, add a small amount of your preferred sugar-free sweetener and blend again.

Step 4: Portion

  • Pour the mixture evenly into serving cups or small dessert bowls.

Step 5: Chill

  • Refrigerate for 2–3 hours until cold and slightly firm.
  • For an ice cream-like consistency, freeze for 1–2 hours, stirring once halfway through.

Step 6: Serve

  • Serve chilled.
  • Garnish with fresh strawberry slices or a few mint leaves if desired.

Tips

  • Use ripe, naturally sweet strawberries for the best flavor.
  • For extra protein, use high-protein Greek yogurt.
  • Blend in a few fresh raspberries or blueberries for a mixed-berry version.
  • Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. If frozen, let it sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before serving.
