1. Prepare the corn
Remove the husks and silk from each ear of corn.
Rinse the corn and pat it dry.
If the ears are too long for your slow cooker, cut them in half.
2. Make the seasoned butter
In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, dried parsley, and paprika.
Mix until everything is evenly incorporated.
3. Butter the corn
Rub the seasoned butter generously over each piece of corn.
Make sure the butter coats as much of the corn as possible.
4. Place everything in the crockpot
Arrange the corn inside the slow cooker.
You can stack the pieces if necessary.
Add about 2 tablespoons of water to the bottom of the crockpot. The goal isn’t to boil the corn—the slow cooker will create enough moisture to cook it gently.
5. Cook
Cover with the lid.
Cook on HIGH for about 2–3 hours or LOW for about 4–5 hours, depending on the size and freshness of the corn.
The corn is ready when the kernels are tender and juicy.
6. Turn the corn
If possible, carefully rotate the corn about halfway through cooking so the butter and juices distribute more evenly.
7. Finish with more butter
Once cooked, carefully remove the corn using tongs.
Brush with additional melted butter and sprinkle with a little extra salt, pepper, parsley, or paprika.
8. Serve hot
Serve immediately while the corn is hot and buttery. 🌽🧈
⭐ Tips for the Best Crockpot Corn
- Use fresh, sweet corn whenever possible.
- Don’t add too much water—the corn should steam rather than boil.
- For a cheesy version, sprinkle with Parmesan immediately after cooking.
- For spicy corn, add chili powder or cayenne to the butter.
