Step 1: Soak Your Feet
Fill a basin with warm (not hot) water.
Add:
- Epsom salt
- Lemon slices (optional)
Soak your feet for 10–15 minutes to soften rough skin.
Step 2: Gently Exfoliate
Using a pumice stone or soft foot brush:
- Rub the heels gently using circular motions.
- Focus only on rough, thickened skin.
- Avoid scrubbing too hard, which can damage healthy skin.
Step 3: Dry Thoroughly
Pat your feet dry with a clean towel.
Pay special attention to the areas between your toes.
Step 4: Moisturize
Massage a generous layer of:
- Olive oil, coconut oil, or
- A rich foot cream containing urea, glycerin, or shea butter
Finish with a thin layer of petroleum jelly to help lock in moisture.
Step 5: Wear Cotton Socks
Put on clean cotton socks and leave them on overnight.
This helps the moisturizer penetrate more effectively.
How Often?
- Soak and exfoliate 1–2 times per week.
- Apply moisturizer every day, especially before bedtime.
Consistency is the key to softer heels.
