Homemade Aloe Vera Hair Oil

Ingredients

  • 2 large aloe vera leaves
  • 1 cup (240 ml) coconut oil
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon castor oil

Instructions

  1. Wash the aloe vera leaves thoroughly.
  2. Remove the outer green skin and collect the clear gel.
  3. Blend the gel until smooth.
  4. Combine the aloe gel and coconut oil in a saucepan.
  5. Simmer on very low heat for 20–30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. When the moisture has evaporated and the oil is clear, remove from heat.
  7. Strain through a fine sieve or cheesecloth.
  8. Let cool and store in a clean glass bottle.

How to Use

  1. Massage a small amount into the scalp for 5 minutes.
  2. Apply through the lengths of the hair.
  3. Leave on for 1–2 hours or overnight.
  4. Wash with a mild shampoo.
  5. Use 1–2 times per week.

Important Note
