Ingredients
- 2 large aloe vera leaves
- 1 cup (240 ml) coconut oil
- Optional: 1 teaspoon castor oil
Instructions
- Wash the aloe vera leaves thoroughly.
- Remove the outer green skin and collect the clear gel.
- Blend the gel until smooth.
- Combine the aloe gel and coconut oil in a saucepan.
- Simmer on very low heat for 20–30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- When the moisture has evaporated and the oil is clear, remove from heat.
- Strain through a fine sieve or cheesecloth.
- Let cool and store in a clean glass bottle.
How to Use
- Massage a small amount into the scalp for 5 minutes.
- Apply through the lengths of the hair.
- Leave on for 1–2 hours or overnight.
- Wash with a mild shampoo.
- Use 1–2 times per week.
