Garlic Butter Roasted Salmon with Asparagus

  • by

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Step 2: Prepare the Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped parsley, and half of the sliced green onions.

Step 3: Arrange the Ingredients

Place the salmon fillets in the center of the prepared baking tray. Arrange the asparagus around the salmon in a single layer.

Step 4: Season Everything

Season both the salmon and asparagus with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Brush or spoon the garlic butter mixture generously over the salmon and drizzle the remaining sauce over the asparagus.

Step 5: Roast

Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). The asparagus should be tender with slightly crisp tips.

Step 6: Garnish

Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining sliced green onions over the salmon. Add extra chopped parsley if desired.

Step 7: Serve

Serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges. Pair with rice, mashed potatoes, roasted baby potatoes, quinoa, or a fresh green salad for a complete meal.

Tips

  • For extra flavor, marinate the salmon in the garlic butter mixture for 15–30 minutes before roasting.
  • Avoid overcooking the salmon to keep it moist and flaky.
  • Add cherry tomatoes or thin lemon slices to the baking tray for extra color and flavor.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 2 days and gently reheated before serving.
