Garlic and Honey on an Empty Stomach for 7 Days: What You Should Know

  • by

Garlic and honey have been used in traditional home remedies for centuries. Garlic contains sulfur compounds such as allicin, while honey contains natural antioxidants. Although both can be part of a healthy diet, there is no strong scientific evidence that eating garlic with honey for seven days can detoxify the body, cure diseases, or dramatically improve health.

If you’d like to try this traditional combination, here’s a simple recipe.

Ingredients

  • 8–10 fresh garlic cloves
  • ½ cup raw honey
  • 1 clean glass jar with a lid

Step 1: Prepare the Garlic

  1. Peel the garlic cloves.
  2. Lightly crush each clove with the side of a knife.
  3. Let the crushed garlic rest for 10 minutes. This allows allicin, one of garlic’s active compounds, to form.

Step 2: Add the Honey

  1. Place the garlic cloves into the clean glass jar.
  2. Pour the honey over the garlic until all cloves are completely covered.
  3. Seal the jar tightly.

Step 3: Let It Infuse

Store the jar at room temperature in a cool, dark place for 5–7 days.

Turn the jar gently once a day to help the honey coat the garlic evenly.

Step 4: How to Use

If you choose to use this mixture:

  • Eat 1 garlic clove with 1 teaspoon of honey in the morning.
  • Follow with a glass of water if desired.

Use it as part of a balanced diet—not as a replacement for medical treatment.
