Corn Silk Tea: Benefits, Recipe, and What Science Really Says

If using fresh corn silk:

  • Remove it from the corn.
  • Rinse thoroughly under cool running water.
  • Pat dry with a clean towel.

Step 2: Simmer

Add the corn silk and water to a saucepan.

Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes.

Step 3: Steep

Remove from the heat.

Cover and let the tea steep for another 10 minutes.

Step 4: Strain

Strain the tea into a mug, discarding the corn silk.

Step 5: Serve

Enjoy warm, or chill and serve over ice.

Add honey or lemon if desired.
