This homemade mixture is popular in many households as a flavorful wellness tonic. While the ingredients contain nutrients and plant compounds that may support general health, there is no scientific evidence that this mixture can cure diseases or replace medical treatment. Enjoy it as part of a balanced diet rather than as a medicine.
Ingredients
- 1 medium fresh ginger root (about 100 g), peeled and grated
- 1 medium red onion, finely chopped
- 8–10 garlic cloves, minced or grated
- Juice of 2 fresh lemons
- 1 cup (240 ml) raw honey
Equipment
- Glass jar with a tight-fitting lid
- Fine grater or food processor
- Spoon for mixing
Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
Wash the ginger thoroughly, peel it if desired, and grate it finely.
Peel and finely chop the onion.
Peel and mince or grate the garlic cloves.
Squeeze the lemons to obtain fresh juice, removing any seeds.
Step 2: Combine Everything
Add the grated ginger, chopped onion, minced garlic, lemon juice, and honey to the glass jar.
Stir well until all the ingredients are evenly mixed.
Step 3: Let It Infuse
Seal the jar and refrigerate it for 7 days.
Shake or stir the mixture once a day to help blend the flavors.
Step 4: Strain (Optional)
After 7 days, you can strain the solids if you prefer a smoother syrup, or leave them in for a chunkier mixture.
Store the finished mixture in the refrigerator.

This is intended as a food, not a medical treatment.
