You may have seen posts claiming that mixing Vaseline and cornstarch can make you “look 16 again” or erase wrinkles overnight. There is no scientific evidence that this homemade cream can reverse skin aging or permanently remove wrinkles.
However, it can be used as a simple moisturizing mask for some skin types.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon Vaseline (petroleum jelly)
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon aloe vera gel (optional)
- 2–3 drops vitamin E oil (optional)
Step 1: Make the Cream
- Place the Vaseline in a clean bowl.
- Add the cornstarch.
- Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Stir in the aloe vera gel and vitamin E oil, if using.
- Transfer the mixture to a clean container with a lid.
Step 2: Apply to Your Skin
- Wash your face with a gentle cleanser.
- Pat your skin dry.
- Apply a thin layer of the cream to your face and neck, avoiding the eyes.
- Leave it on for 15–20 minutes or use a very thin layer overnight if your skin tolerates it.
- Rinse with lukewarm water if using as a mask.
Use 2–3 times per week.
