Healthy Banana Cream Breakfast Cups

  • by

The claim “I eat this for breakfast every day and have lost 10 kg—no sugar!” isn’t something that can be concluded from the recipe itself. Weight loss depends on overall calorie intake, activity level, and many other factors. While a no-added-sugar breakfast can fit into a healthy diet, it doesn’t guarantee weight loss.

Healthy Banana Cream Breakfast Cups (No Added Sugar)

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1½ cups (360 g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup (240 g) cottage cheese
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds (optional, for extra fiber)
  • ½ cup crushed whole-grain biscuits or sugar-free granola
  • 1 banana, sliced (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips (optional)
  • Chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Cream

  1. Add the Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, 2 ripe bananas, vanilla extract, and chia seeds (if using) to a blender.
  2. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.

Step 2: Assemble

  1. Spoon a layer of the banana cream into serving cups.
  2. Add a layer of crushed whole-grain biscuits or sugar-free granola.
  3. Add another layer of the banana cream.

Step 3: Decorate

  1. Top with fresh banana slices.
  2. Sprinkle with a few dark chocolate chips and chopped nuts if desired.

Step 4: Chill

  1. Refrigerate for 30–60 minutes before serving for the best texture.

Tips

  • Use very ripe bananas for natural sweetness—no added sugar needed.
  • For extra protein, add a scoop of plain or vanilla protein powder to the blender.
  • If preparing ahead, add the banana slices just before serving to keep them fresh.
  • Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

This makes a creamy, protein-rich breakfast or snack that’s naturally sweetened with bananas and easy to prepare in advance.
